Pauline Lockie first moved to the Inner West with her family in 2013, when they relocated back to Sydney after nearly eight years in London. They were delighted to purchase their first family home in St Peters in 2014.

But on Melbourne Cup day that year – less than two months after they moved in – Pauline and her family learned that their home was one of over 80 in the area marked for forced acquisition for WestConnex.

Since then, Pauline has been a tireless advocate for her community. As a spokesperson for the WestCONnex Action Group, she made countless appearances in the media, at public events, and in meetings with politicians and officials at all levels of government to campaign against the project, and for better outcomes for Inner West residents.

Due to the wide-ranging impact WestConnex is having on the Inner West, Pauline’s advocacy expanded to include issues such as public transport, sustainable cities, and planning and development.

Since being elected to Inner West Council in 2017, Pauline has continued to act on these issues, as well as LGBTIQ rights, climate change and sustainability, community involvement in Council decision-making, air quality, local environmental issues, and more.

Pauline lives with her husband Warren, daughter Adia, and greyhound Trixie in Newtown.
