There's been a lot of discussion about the fine handed down by Inner West Council to the Addison Road Community Centre (ARCCO) after a recent Vegan Market breached ARCCO's development consent. Motion on Sydney Metro land title issues in Newtown

I was contacted in late February by residents in Lord St Newtown who had discovered they had an ‘unregistered dealing’ on their land titles as a result of unfinalised acquisitions of land under their properties for the Sydney Metro project. This has stopped some residents from refinancing or even selling their homes, with no resolution in site - which is why I'll be moving that Inner West Council writes to the relevant Ministers to demand urgent action at our meeting next week.

Motion on WestConnex noise and air quality concerns

I'll be tabling the following motion at the next Inner West Council meeting on Tuesday 13 March following requests made by residents and community groups for Council to conduct its own noise and air quality monitoring of the WestConnex projects.

One of the most common reasons residents contact me at Inner West Council is to raise concerns about a proposed development application or DA in their neighbourhood. And while I’m always happy to help, many people are surprised when I tell them that, thanks to recent changes made by the NSW Government, Councillors now have very little say over whether a DA is approved or not.

WestCONnex: My meeting with Dept of Planning officials

In December 2017, I met with senior officials from Department of Planning and Environment to discuss ongoing issues residents have been experiencing with WestCONnex, including issues with breaches of construction conditions, noise mitigation, and concern about the Stage 3 EIS being approved based on an ill-defined "concept" design.
