Last year, I tabled an urgency motion about food insecurity in the Inner West. Since then, the issue has grown steadily worse as the cost of living crisis has intensified. So I've teamed up with Councillor Dylan Griffiths to draft the following motion, which we'll table at our next Council meeting on Tuesday 20 June.

At our next Council meeting on Tuesday 20 June, I'll be tabling the following motion to call on Transport for NSW to make the Rainbow Tunnels it installed in Ashfield, Newtown and Petersham for Pride Inner West and Sydney World Pride permanent.

Proud to be bringing this motion to the Inner West Council meeting on Tuesday 14 March with my fellow World Pride Committee members, Clr Jess D'Arienzo and Clr Liz Atkins. #PrideInnerWest was such a joyful and important festival, and I’d love to see it continue beyond Sydney WorldPride 2023 during Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras every year.

The Inner West ranks among the top 20 Council areas in NSW for poker machine losses. At the Council meeting on Tuesday 13 December, I'll be teaming up with Greens Councillor Liz Atkins to the following motion calling for poker machine reform.

I tabled the following urgency motion at our Council meeting on Tuesday 9 August, which I'm pleased to say passed unanimously. This followed recent discussions I've had with Inner West Police Area Command about the rise in food theft they're seeing across the Inner West, and Addison Road Community Organisation about the sharp rise in people seeking food relief.

Council has committed to implementing speed limits of no more than 40km/h on all local roads across our local government area (LGA) to improve safety and local amenity. However, while Transport for NSW - which must approve and implement speed limits - has provided in-principle support for this initiative, it has yet to amend the speed limit on any local road in our LGA since doing so.

So at our Council meeting on 14 June 2022, I tabled the following motion to escalate this issue the Minister for Metropolitan Roads, and ask her to ensure that Transport for NSW works with Council to finally get this done - and prioritise areas for 30km/h limits where appropriate. I'm pleased to say it passed unanimously, with an additional point 4(d) added by Leichhardt ward Clr da Cruz. As ever, I'd love to know what you think.

At our Council meeting on 14 June 2022, I tabled the following motion calling for greater transparency around the WestConnex St Peters Interchange. This followed revelations in City Hub that Transport for NSW failed to tell Council that the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has required further analysis of the site, even as it was pushing us to take responsibility for managing the "parkland" at the site. I'm pleased to say it passed with unanimous support. As ever, I'd love to know what you think.

UPDATE: The motion passed unanimously, with points 5 and 6 added as amendments. I'm looking forward to helping these projects come to fruition as part of World Pride.

I tabled the following as my last motion for this term of Council during our final meeting on Tuesday 23 November. It puts Council's verge maintenance service on the agenda for the next Budget, given the consistency of complaints we receive from residents over the warmer months, and the costs involved in increasing the service.
